IT’S TIME FOR
ALL FOR THE GIRLS NIGHT
Popular winter
event is scheduled for Thursday, February 7th

CAPE MAY –
“We like to call
it an evening of shopping, food and fun”, said Donna Burkhardt, chairperson for
All for the Girls Night. “It’s a
great way for ladies over 21 to get out and enjoy some camaraderie during a
season that typically doesn’t offer much for grown-ups to
do.”
All
for the Girls Night, sponsored by Our Lady Star of the Sea Regional School takes
place in the hall at Ocean and Lafayette Streets. The event runs from 7 to 10 pm on
Thursday, February 7th.
Tickets are $12 if purchased in advance at OLSOS School and $15 at the
door. The ticket price entitles you
to horsd'oeuvres, your first glass of wine, and a complimentary sweet treat
courtesy of our friends at the Fudge Kitchen. Ladies can shop, dine and sip a glass of
wine while enjoying music played by DJ Tony.
Burkhardt says that All for the Girls Night, now
in its fourth year, has earned a reputation in the community as an enjoyable
evening that shouldn’t be missed.
“Last year, we sold over 150 tickets and we expect to sell even more this
year. People start calling us right
after the holidays to find out the date of the event, they want to make sure
they keep that evening open!”
“We
have a lengthy list of vendors coming to the event,” Burkhardt added. “It is such a great evening for everyone
that the vendors reserve their table early, just to make sure they get a
spot.” The vendors include many
well-known party companies such as Silpada Jewelry,
Tastefully Simple, Tupperware, Pampered Chef and Home and Garden. We have many local retailers including
Nest, Accent on Beauty, Seaside Cheese Company, Cape May Fitness, Balance
Pilates and the Fabric Outlet. The
list is rounded out by retailers that offer handmade soaps, handbags, scarves
and more. One perennial favorite is
the beaded jewelry handmade by Betty Cornely. One saying among those who run the event
is “Is there anyone who has been to an AFG and doesn’t own ‘a Betty’?” If you don’t know what that is, you
better come and find out!
