Last Meeting of the School Year Prior to the Spring Concert

Monsignor opened the meeting with a prayer.

Diane Hogan/PTA President

Secretary’s Report – was posted on the school’s web site

Motion for approval by Denise Adams and V. Adams and the report was approved.

Treasurer’s Report – was not available because Gail Stevenson was not present.

1 in 40 Club – Bridget Inderweis is the chair person.

Summer Carnival – will be held July 5th and 6th.

Car Raffle – It is important that parents work the booth.  Full proceeds from this go towards our school.  Parents need to man the booth!!

8th Grade Graduation – June 6th

Beach Day – Parents are needed to volunteer.

Sub Sale – It was decided to cancel the spring sub sale because of too many other events going on at this time.

Diane thanked board members for their service, and in particular, several members who are leaving our school.  Gail Stevenson, our treasurer, whose youngest child is graduating, has served as treasurer many years in the past.  Marianne Linnington, currently 8th grade class helper, who also has her youngest graduating, has served the PTA for many years as Recording Secretary, CYO Dinner Chair, Sub Sale etc…..  Melanie Horn, currently 5th grade helper is moving to Virginia.  Her husband is in the Coast Guard.  Michele Gray, currently 7th grade class rep, whose youngest will be in 8th grade next year, but is unable to stay on as class rep was also thanked for her service.

Joan Dollinger/Principal

Everyone was welcomed to the Celebration of the Arts!  Ms. Dollinger thanked Miss Sterner, Mr. Orr, and Mr. Johnston for all their hard work.  She welcomed the students from West Cape May, and St. Ann’s Schools who were participating in the band this evening.  It was difficult to have all these things on one night: the concert,

art show, and meeting, but it is easier to come out on one night than on several at this busy time of the year.

Car Raffle – Help is needed!  Sign up forms have gone home in the Thursday envelope.  Shifts can be shared, and you do not have to sign up for an entire shift all summer long.

Secret Garden – It was amazing to see the awesome talent of the children.  Thank you to Miss B., Diane Hogan, and all the parent helpers that made this possible.

Ms. Dollinger thanked everyone for their support during the merger.

She also thanked Diane Hogan for being such a good leader.

Meeting adjourned to the Spring Concert @ 7:00pm.
